What I collect
- Your email, if you give it. The subscribe forms and free template downloads on this site ask for your email address. When you submit it, I also record the time, your IP address, and your browser info. That record exists to prove you actually asked to be on the list, which anti-spam law requires.
- Basic analytics. This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages people read. Google sets cookies to do that. I see totals and trends, not your name.
That's it. There are no accounts, no checkout, and no forms asking for anything beyond your email.
What I do with your email
Emails go into Omnisend, the service I use to send the newsletter and deliver free templates. I email about new videos, gear, and things I'm building. No spam, and I never sell or rent the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works with one click. You can also just reply and tell me to remove you, and I will.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site, mostly on the gear page, are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I also have an affiliate relationship with Dehancer. If you buy through those links it costs you nothing extra, and it helps support what I make. I only link to stuff I actually own and use.
Embedded videos
YouTube videos on this site are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube doesn't set tracking cookies unless you play a video. Once you hit play, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails any time with the link in any email, or by writing me.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser to opt out of analytics. The site works fine without them.
- Want your data deleted? Email me and I'll remove you from Omnisend and anywhere else it lives.
