Fuel tracks calories and macros without a food database. You log portions with your hand, which is faster than weighing food and works anywhere.
The hand-portion method
Instead of weighing food, you count portions with your hand: a palm of protein, a fist of veggies, a cupped hand of carbs, and a thumb of fat. Axis turns those into calories and macros for you.
Log a meal
- Open the Fuel tab. You'll see four meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack.
- On a meal, use the − and + steppers to add portions: Protein (palms), Veggies (fists), Carbs (cupped hands), and Fats (thumbs). They move in half-portion steps.
- In a hurry? Tap 1 serving or 2 servings to fill a meal quickly, and Clear to reset it.
- The top of the screen shows your calories for the day and whether you're kcal left or kcal over.
Set your targets
The macro table at the top shows Goal, Eaten, and Left across protein, carbs, fat, fiber, and calories. Set your goal with the Calorie & Macro Calculator at the bottom of Fuel. The calculator guide walks through it.
Hand portions are an estimate, on purpose. Consistency beats precision here. Log the same way each day and let the weekly trend, not any single meal, tell you whether it's working.
